Website and digital marketing partnership

Website and digital marketing partnership

Client context

CreditSmart exists to help Australians better understand how credit reporting works, how to improve their credit score and how to make informed financial decision. It's a resource that needs to be clear, accurate, and genuinely useful - especially for people experiencing financial hardship or trying to understand their credit health for the first time.

We've been CreditSmart's marketing and digital partner for over eight years. What started as a small information site, originally scoped as a 6-month project, has grown into a comprehensive platform and a long-term relationship spanning web development, UX design, and digital marketing - including SEO, paid search and paid social strategies.

The relationship

Rather than a single project, our work with CreditSmart has been an ongoing partnership. We manage the site's security and CMS upgrades, run an ongoing website retainer for UX enhancements and other improvements, and effectively act as an extension of the CreditSmart team. Along the way we've built a custom financial hardship hub (a single, easy-to-navigate place for hardship information and where to find support) and redesigned the Contact Us page so the form itself triages enquiries and links people straight to answers already on the site.

We also run paid search and paid social campaigns that educate Australians on key issues affecting credit and pitfalls to avoid to maintain healthy credit scores.

What we've built in the last 12 months

This year's focus has been the comprehensive credit reporting redesign, improving the search experience so users can find and understand participant information more easily, a meaningful step toward the transparency CreditSmart exists to provide.

We've also run AB testing to keep refining how the site performs for real users, developed a new credit education tool, and produced animation and AI avatar video content to explain credit concepts in more engaging ways.

Digital marketing

Alongside the website, we run CreditSmart's ongoing paid search strategy and this year added dedicated campaigns educating people about their options when facing financial hardship and warning people against being misled by untrustworthy companies promising quick credit repair fixes that don’t exist.

We also launched a new paid social education campaign across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat helping people to manage their credit under mounting cost of living pressures.

Next up, we're planning campaigns to help younger Australians demystify credit and build healthy financial habits early. This year we also kicked off a dedicated SEO program, with promising early results which will continue to build throughout the year.

The outcome

Eight years on, CreditSmart's website has grown from a small information resource into a comprehensive credit education platform - and our role has grown with it, from web build to full marketing and digital partner. It's a relationship built on trust and a shared focus on helping Australians make better credit decisions: we don't just deliver projects, we help shape how CreditSmart shows up for the Australians trying to understand credit.

I’ve worked with the team for more than eight years, and in that time, Holly and Nick have become a genuine extension of CreditSmart. They understand what we’re trying to achieve, know our audience well, and bring both care and expertise to the work.

Whether it’s improving the website, refining the user experience or supporting our digital marketing, they’re thoughtful, responsive and easy to work with. We really value the trust and collaboration we’ve built over the years, and the shared commitment to making credit information clearer and more useful for Australians.
